(please dont take the second half of this seriously lol I felt like being a goof and typed some silly stuff. The silly half was inspired from a hilarious fan-fic. with their thanksgiving.)

"AHHHHHHHH F**CK!" Rook bellowed out in frustration. "I'm freezing my ass off out here!"

He could here a faint sigh behind him as Sophie cautiously step over a slippery log, grateful when Damion held his hand out for her. "Language brother," she chided as she smoothed out her woolly dress. The ground was freshly covered in snow, the last remaining leaves clinging desperately to the brittle twigs in the trees. Ruby was up ahead as the Doberman continued to sift through the scents of the wild.

Tomorrow was to be their first Thanks Giving together, and it had already become a disaster. All because Sophie trusted Damion to not burn the turkey, and trusting Rook to make sure that he didn't, was perhaps, a mistake on her part. Everything was finished, but her demons managed to char the turkey to a crisp. Unfortunately all the towns peoples stores were closed, and all turkey were bought leaving them with no other option but to get a turkey the old fashion way.

By going into the woods early in the morning and killing a wild turkey themselves...Really, what could go wrong.

Besides the fact that none of them have ever hunted before, and even though Damion's tracking skills were impressive the turkeys had continued to elude them. Her poor demon had felt awful for ruining their first Thanks Giving and was determined to make it right, but it was Sophie that refused to let him go on his own.

Rook huddled more deeply into his cloak when he felt the temperature drop. "I still don't get why we have to be out here! Damion's the one that burnt the turkey!"

"You were the one that was suppose to assist him in cooking the turkey," she cleverly countered. That shut him real quick as he continued the hunt.

Sophie glanced up at Damion who continued to be a mute partner of the party. She could tell he was still sulking over his poor cooking skills. She reach out and held his warm wrist, her fingers instantly warming from the contact.

"Stop being so hard on yourself."

He released a long sigh, "Sorry."

"And stop saying your sorry. Everyone messes up from time to time."

"But I have ruined our Thanksgiving."

She pulled him to a stop and spoke when he made eye contact. "Damion, Thanks Giving isn't about a turkey on the table. Its about being with family, friends, and people you love." She drew closer to him until her arms wrapped around his waste. "And that's exactly what were doing right now. I would rather be out here in the cold with you on this silly turkey chase then be back at home while your out here, all alone." A smile finally began to stretch across his face. "Honestly do we need a turkey? I could make ham instead-"

"Shrimp," Rook interrupted. "I hate to break it to yeah but I want a big ass turkey. We are getting a turkey."

Ruby bolted forward when she caught a whiff of something. Her hair raising on end as she began to bark after a flock of hens (female turkeys). A Gobbler broke from the flock as I ran in there direction.

"I see one!" The bird was huge, far bigger than the dainty little turkey they chard. Rook drew out his weapon as he chased the heavy bird down, but it was surprisingly fast and agile. "Get back here!" He slide on slushy snow before his back connecting to the ground with a painful thud. If he didn't know any better he swore the turkey was laughing at him. "Damn you bird! That's it! It's f**king war!"

Sophie could help but laugh at the sight. "Well," she said charmingly as she batted her eyes up at Damion. "You better go help him. Rook really wants a turkey, and their might be a specific reward for you, if you succeed." Their was a gleam in the demons eyes, as a devious smirk grew on his face. He did love a challenge.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^(the silly half)
However this challenge was begging to test Damon's restraints. They had been hunting down the gobbler for 20 minutes straight! And at every failed attempted to ambush the turkey, the bird would flaunted its feathers at them in insult as it continued to -yelp, yelp, yelp and -gobble, gobble'.

He refused to us his magic but damn! How did one damn bird evade two skilled soul collectors?!

Their keen sense of hearing could pick up Sophie's laughs as she sat on the side and continued to be entertained, while Ruby laid lazily by her legs. The Doberman didn't fair any better at catching one of these 'devil birds'.

Damion gripped the earth beneath his claws as he raised himself up from another slippery fall. "I swear I'll get that turkey! Even if it kills me!" Rook may want turkey, but Damion wanted his reward, damn it!

"Hey bird!" Rook yelled as he pointed his talon at the feathery pest. "Get in my f**king bag so I can have you for dinner!" The turkey looked at Rook, then Damion before letting out a gobble of fright and ran off. "GET BACK HERE AND LET ME COOK YOU!"

"Right Rook, keep yelling at the bird to go in your bag. He'll jump in any minute now."

"Shut it, old man!"

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
It was simple really.

While they continued to chase and tire the bird out, she took it upon herself to make a trap. Making flower crowns weren't the only things she was good at. With some vines and some wool strings from her dress she managed to make a decent rope snag. She hid the loop under the leaves and held the other end that hung from the lowest branch, and waited.

It didn't take long for the turkey to run through the same path as before. Its claw foot stepped into the loop and she pulled.

Simple.

She almost felt bad for bruising the demons ego's as they stood dumbfounded, watching the turkey wiggle helplessly upside down with its foot in the snag. Sophie had out did them both with little effort, and no magic.

*^*^*^*^*^*^
"Let us give thanks," Sophie said as she laid the last of the dishes on the dinning room table. They had made it just in time for Thanks Giving. She had to hide a snicker as both demons stared menacingly at the beautifully golden turkey that Sophie had caught and cooked, herself.

This was a Thanksgiving to truly remember.

END. lol I know it was corny, but its late and I'm tired. Plus when your doing college work all the time its good to write goofy stuff to get you back into the swing of things. ^U^ HAPPY THANKSGIVING
